Odell Beckham consoles emotional Deebo Samuel after NFC Championship
Odell Beckham Jr. consoled an emotional Deebo Samuel on Sunday after the Rams defeated the 49ers in the NFC Championship game.
The Rams receiver, who will now face the Bengals in his first-ever Super Bowl, embraced the 49ers wideout on the bench after San Francisco lost to their NFC West rival, 20-17.
Samuel had 72 yards in the game and one touchdown.
Beckham, meanwhile, amassed more than 100 receiving yards in Sunday’s game for the first time since 2019, when he was still a member of the Browns. The 29-year-old receiver also earned a $750,000 incentive with the win, according to ESPN’s Field Yates, with a chance to bank $1 million with a Super Bowl victory.
The former first-round pick signed with the Rams in November after his release from the Browns amid discord with the organization.
Following Sunday’s win, LeBron James congratulated Beckham on punching his ticket to Super Bowl 56.
“@OBJ going to the SuperBowl!!! Did y’all see the game he just had! EARNED NOT GIVEN!!” James tweeted.
The Rams will host the Bengals at their home, SoFi Stadium, on Sunday, Feb. 13.
