A 5-year-old boy was fatally shot by his older sibling at a Pennsylvania dwelling Monday evening after the duo and one other little one had been left alone in a bed room with an unsecured firearm, a report stated.
The younger sufferer, recognized Tuesday as Connor Wolfe, was shot at about 5:30 p.m. contained in the residence Penn Hills Township, WTAE-TV reported, citing police and the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s workplace.
“There was children playing in the back bedroom when one of the children was shot,” Lt. Venerando Costa, of the Allegheny County Police Division, instructed the information station.
Police stated it appeared a father or mother legally owned the gun used within the capturing.
The case might be handed over to the district lawyer’s workplace, which can resolve if any expenses might be filed.
“Just praying for the family, hoping that they make it through,” neighbor Alfred Robinson instructed the outlet.
Robinson’s spouse, Shari, added: “These guns got to be locked up. Kids don’t know. They think they’re toys. They have to be locked up because this is what happens.”
